The linetrimmer you bought isnt really intended to use the line heads suggested above.
(I have the Juey, its good, but I have a straight shaft petrol weedeater)

Flexi shaft limits what it can actually drive, not to mention power requirement for some heads & lines
You cant just stick commercial line heads on anything.

I have never bought refills, always rewind from bulk pack. Have commercial trimmers sitting in a shed with heavier gauge line, and various square section and spiral low noise whisper line.

I find little 18v Ryobi brushless (AEG, all Techtronic Industries) with generic round line trims just as well, if not easier and cleaner cut. Line lasts well, manual bump feed. Light weight and quiet electric is so much nicer to use.

With your auto feed could be advancing line every time you stop start, try more continuous operation to see if it reduces line use.

You mention generic line trimmer refills.

I see that there are generic 2mm trimmer line refills like; PowerFit or Oregon from Bunnings or Tuff Cut from SuperCheap Auto, even Warehouse sells KiwiGarden trimmer line.

Any recommendations please ?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

When I needed more line, Ryobi was out of stock in 2.0mm at Bunnings. So I bought Sufix lawn and garden Duo Core. Much the same, does the job, I'm happy with it.

If your trimmer is using line faster than it wears, then probably the cheaper line the better?

Sometimes going up in diameter is counterproductive as unless you have the grunt it will spin slower. I've tried some cheap refill line in my petrol Echo but found it was welding together on the spool and jamming. Since then I've stuck with Hitachi line from M10.
