Often find this issue with many of the older style MySky boxes - first time I had the fault it was the client complaining of the sensation when plugging their iPod into their AV receiver which eventuated from the MySky box via all of the "grounded" parts of the equipment. It was interesting though, I could not feel it (both of us were barefoot) but he and others definitely could. He was a doctor and rambled that I didn't have enough salt in my body

Talking to SKY they weren't really interested and just said the house should be checked by an electrician (which was me, and it was a new build very recently fully tested), left that company and wonder if they ever had any luck getting it sorted with SKY

The chair you dont feel it on is probably making a better connection to earth itself either from what its sitting on, or you are not as well earthed when touching that chair.

It might be that the chair has the metal panel connected to one of the DC lines and the other chair it is floating because of how they're put together and tollerances with mounting screws etc.

If the power adapters are legit tested ones and not aliexpress specials, it will be save as they use a specific class of capacitor between the primary and secondary of the power supply that is designed to fail to a safe state. If its a PSU from wherever then its probably not really a good thing for something you're in contact with.

If it bothers you see if the suppliers have another power supply with a 3 pin plug and an earthed output, that will dump that leakage current to earth instead of letting it float the voltage up like that.

Thanks again, guys.

Moved the power pack plug to a direct wall socket and, unsurprisingly, no change.

The power packs are the original ones. They are substantial switched supplies with lots of official looking letters/numbers etc!

When the motor is going, the fuzz is not there.

One odd thing I have noticed is the pwr sockets on the chairs are differently orientated i.e. the + and - pins are physically oppositely orientated. No doubt not relevant but I just thought it was an unusual manufacturing process.

I am not concerned from a safety point of view, just curious.

I notice the same "buzz" when my MacBook (aluminium body) is charging.

It's always done it, and it's more pronounced if I move my hand over it.

It's nowhere near a shock or anything like that, just feels like a very subtle vibration.

Yea, that's the same effect I see. Hard to describe, eh!

As a previous poster pointed out - switch mode power supplies are not necessarily isolated from the mains supply.

The thing you mentioned about different polarity marked on identical chairs is not a good sign of conformity and quality control either.
