@daynger thanks very much for the offer :) I have managed to get one at the local jaycar, i dont suppose you could help me out with how to program in the new PIR / Zone via the keypad? I am fairly happy with how to wire it into the control panel.

Probably best to get someone in if you dont have the installers code as its easy to make a mistake if not on site that can result in it not working or going off.

Evening All,

Managed to finally get the wiring in for this PIR.

There is power to the PIR as the LED light is red when there is movement.

I wired it into a spare Zone, Zone 5. However when conducting a walk test Zone 5 does not show on the keypad.

When walk tests are done on the other PIR's their respective Zones show on the keypad.

Any ideas?

FYI - I copied exactly the same wiring on the other PIRs at the PIR itself and the alarm panel.

Thanks

Check your sensor wiring, measure the voltage at the panel input, conduct a walk by test.

Voltage should change markedly (or go from 0 to ~12v or vice versa) if sensor wiring is correct.

You may need to enable the zone in programming.

Page 93 onwards explains the zone programming, so it could be that the current zone type is set to option 15 "Not Used" you may want to change that to a handover pending where the PIR is located in the house.
