snnet:

Should be all set then :)

I'm still annoyed I had several documents I'm sure told me the opposite to what is in ECP51 (because of the information I've "known" being wrong!)

Should I get up and and see if there are sockets on the current driver so I can try and match it (this kind of thing), or just get a generic one, cut the cables, screw them into the new driver?

Up to you, just be careful with going too lower wattage for the driver - make sure there's a bit of spare room in the wattage so that it's not working at its maximum (1-2W spare)

If it's a plug up there I guess it's a slightly easier job for you, but you might be ok just swapping conductors over if they're already hard wired

I'll check thanks. 12W has lasted almost a decade but I'll go up to 20W because cost is the same. I reckon the power is pretty low.

It probably is quite low just keep in mind it's watts per meter with an LED strip, so it could be an inefficient 9W/meter, 2 of those and you're at 18W :)

I'll crawl under there and see if I can check. I had a good electrician and specified "the dimmest LED strip you can find".

I have found a lot of them at least these days don't print it on the strip which can be slightly annoying

@snnet is the Tridonic brand from Lighting+ decent? Data sheet is pretty good, 5 year warranty. I can drive down and get one today in Wellington.
