Having lived with Aluminum-clad timber doors for many years...
I can attest to them being unbeatable - long-lived, warm & pretty.
The first ones I bought, in 1993, were Alti, made in Kumeu by Maddren.

It looks like you can still find them in NZ - try Alti from Fisher Windows (Wellington).

You can also get them from the likes of Neuffler or EcoWindows - but made in Europe.
So, more costly and less off-the-shelf.
