bazzer: But shampoo smells nice!

It does, but passing of gas in the shower is also magnified!!!  Since the methane modules attach to the H20 modules :)

Then she did something dumb and got an HRV installed. They put the thing about 3m along from the fan. So if someone has a shower now, shampoo smell is blown thru the whole house.

HRV installed a device to control moisture into a house and left a major source of moisture?  if they didnt mention that it should be fixed before/during/after install then it doesnt say a lot for the installer...

Hanging the thing about a meter above the gib, right by the access hatch on the south side of the house says a lot about the installer as well.

They are just cowboys. Then when mum complained it didnt do much they said its because the hoses were long (duh, the vents are at the other side of the house) so wanted to put a second motor in. so now instead of a gentle ice cold breeze on you when using the computer, its a massive flood of ice cold 17° roofspace air on a good day like today.
