An interesting thought James. I wonder though wouldn't that allow air to fill up the pipes and add to the problem? Why I wonder this is because of the opinions I found on Google about turning on all the taps to get rid of air in the pipes because they say this can cause tap hammer when you turn off a tap suddenly. Not thjat this is my particular problem.
I see what he is suggesting, maybe a cycling airlock in some weirdly done part of your piping. Personally I would go turn all the taps on at once to fix that one. Close to the clutching at straws stage, but hey why not : )
Another good idea. Yes I will try this one as soon as I get a convenient time. Thanks guys for all your thoughts. Actuallly, by the way, the house is on the market and in a day or so we should here if it is sold. I just want to fix it before it becomes the next guy,s problem.
