I have endless baby toys around the house that need constant recycling of batteries, mainly AA and AAA. also all remotes and keyboards and mice are full of them. I snap eneloops up whenever they are on sale. For those toys that annoyingly still use C batteries I use the Varta ones from bunnings as they are the only decent C ones I've found.

You can get AA to C Size Battery Converters from ebay. Lower capacity and probably lower max current, but might work in some cases.

If something will run on crappy disposable cells, they will be fine on one of those adapters and an AA NiMH cell.

The number of people that put junk "heavy duty" cells into things that specify alkaline is amazing, and they think its a quality cell because its made by sony or someone they have heard of.

I like the Varta rechargeables. Don't get them mixed up with your alkalines though!
