A cheap quick DIY alternative to your problem would be to simply place the cylinder in a bucket of water. As long as the water does not freeze up during your winter months it should be sufficient to solve your problem..


Interesting thought, but have you tried to lift a full 45litre bottle of LPG?  My gas man has to do a shuffle or five to get it onto a ledge only 200mm above ground level - and that's after I did him a favour by taking out a wall that was 600mm high.  And the problem only occurs in Winter when any water is going to rapidly cool.

Wont hosing them off work then?
Or maybe a garden sprinkler close by, on an automated timer? 
Next time it happens put the hose on it and see if it makes a difference.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

 

 

 

The VaporBooster cylinder heater is acceptable for its intended use in NZ, and is readily available from stock at $395.

 

This price is freight inclusive within NZ.

 

 

 

There are some conditions about its installation you need to be mindful of.

 

Each VB100 needs its own power supply socket. (ie: 2 x VB100 require a dual socket)

 

The power supply sockets need to be installed outside the electrical exclusion zone which surrounds the gas cylinders.

 

I attach an excerpt from the installation code that should clarify this exclusion zone for you.  The sockets must be outside the described conical zone.

 

It is common to install the power supply socket above the cylinders as this  provides the closest location and eliminates the VaporBooster lead from trailing on the ground.

 

 

 

If you are using an automatic change-over type regulator (automatically switches between cylinders) you need to install a VaporBooster on EACH cylinder.

 

However if you manually switch between cylinders you will need to turn off the VB100 and swap to the new supply cylinder, then turn the VB100 back on.

 

(If you remove the VB100 without turning off it will quickly overheat and the reset will need to be pressed when the unit has cooled down. You risk damage to the VB100 if energised when not installed on a cylinder.)
