They will be noisy and run hotter than they would on proper power.

That's ok, it's just for the greenhouse. So long as they don't burn the place down I don't care about volume or too much about heat, I just want to move the air around a bit in there.

The plan is a solar panel (probably 80W), I have a 30AH battery, a bilge blower, an inverter, and a cheap oscillating fan or two. I'll only run the fans 2-4 hours a day, max. I might have to get a bigger battery.

Or I could just drill a hole in the shed wall and feed mains power out.

Sounds simpler and cheaper, and then you have wide choice of fans.

Yeah, I just have to convince my wife it's a good idea. I don't even really need to drill a hole, I can probably run it out through the shed eaves.
