99 I believe is fault/ no comms.
If other providers are saying non-advanced, the meter owner has probably updated the registry to say as much due to the inability to communicate. you can confirm that by checking your ICP in the link in Aredwood's post - in the Metering details, check the Meter installation type & AMI Flag values.
For a meter that's able to be read remotely, those would read HHR & Yes.
For advanced meters that aren't communicating, they're typically HHR & No.
I'd push EK again, see if they can get the metering owner back out again.
Gone back to EK again, 4th time lucky maybe.
According to the EA Govt website we are HHR and No. But everyone of our surrounding neighbours and addresses close to us is HHR and Yes.
Deamo:
I'm not sure where good & bad are on the scale.. The highest I've seen is 20.
I'll try to find out more
Edit: I've got some general information regarding the signal number reported on the meter - usual caveats apply, number reported by meter is not definitive, lots of factors impact signal strength/ stability, etc.
In general terms: The simple answer is that a signal of 14 or above can be considered a strong signal strength.
I have heard that a 3 or 4 (can't remember) should be considered a 'fail' and an external antenna fitted.
Finally got EK to insist on installing a new meter, hopefully that resolves the comms issues. Will update next wednesday if all goes well.
New meter installed. Connection light is red but meter SIG is 11. Waiting to see if EK receive readings.
A red connection light is good, at least for EDMI meters.
Not sure exactly what that means it's connected to, though.
