Batman: Any point in using basking sofa in dishwasher

I wouldn't. Assuming you could get the door shut, the next challenge would be drying it. Trying to dry a cushion properly is difficult enough, let alone a whole sofa!

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Batman: Thanks all points taken.

Will try to remember to scrape grease and use baking soda when washing greasy stuff.

Any point in using basking sofa in dishwasher or do the finish powerballs dissolve well enough?

Googling that to see if any risks, no, its fine, seems its a suggestion for dishwasher cleaning too

One link there gave a recipe for normal dishwash liquid and baking soda instead of a tab, interesting to test that

One thing to consider is using an appropriate detergent in the dishwasher pre-wash dispenser. The pre-wash cycle is where the dishwasher rinshes off the easily removable dirt from your dishes. Without any detergent in this process, any fat rinsed during pre-wash goes down the drain with water only - a recipe for an eventual fat berg. Adding detergent to the dishwasher pre-wash helps break up this fat during this rinsing phase.

An interesting vid on how diswashers work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rBO8neWw04

Good luck with the normal dishwash liquid.  I expect you'll be cleaning up a mess on the floor from all the foam overflowing.

Yes, put liquid in a dish drawer and it will act like an Ibiza club's bubble machine, before shutting down with F1 error.

Yes, I did wonder about that but it was in a link, so assumed it was fairly valid, possibly as its not being shaken around as in a washing machine

For those who may or may not be wondering, also don't put washing machine powder into dish washer. don't ask me how I know, I was much younger
