Remember the lines/network charges increase on the 1st of April (no joke) - take that into account when comparing you current bill.

Many providers will increase their other rates at this time.

For me last bill was 720kwh (35% weekday offpeak, 35% weekend offpeak, 30% peak) in 28 day period, on Powershop this was ~$200 (probably around $230 at after April prices), cheapest plan Billy suggested was $295.

Without being able enter peak/offpeak and not including Powershop and other plans like that - not that useful.

Possibly the lack of other providers is only a temporary thing until the expected April price adjustments. Hope so. It makes no sense to me without powershop.

Separately, it continues to amaze me that all these sites happily publish ICP. It's just not needed if there is only one connection at the address. In many cases it's not even needed if there is more than one.

I'd much prefer to compare a year's worth of power rather than just one month.

The Consumer PowerSwitch site used to have this useful function before it was downgraded to one month's bill or me having to describe this and that about what I use power for an if I have insulation. It did at least show if other plans were more or less than my current plan.

Billy seems to do the same as the PowerSwitch site but without comparing my current plan with others. It looks flasher but with even less functionality.

It seems those who record and manage their power use are not the target audience.

Do the EA now get the $50 or so Consumer eventually admitted they reprieved for each supplier change generated by the site?

A bit more functionality than the Consumer Powerswitch website but still a few bugs that need ironing out by the looks of my results. Despite uploading our February Ecotricity account (which shows a credit of $125.67 for the month) Billy gives a $96.65 credit recalculated Ecotricity total with the top alternative as OctopusFlexi Low User with a $94 credit. Also our 13.2 kW of solar capacity makes Octopus only possible under their Peaker plan which they demand for over 10 kW capacity.

The issue seems to be the 'behind the meter' data that the account obviously isn't privy to. Our import is correctly stated as 197 kWh with generation as 1,436 kWh which is 356 kWh short of the mark. Export was 1,238 kWh so maybe Billy is taking a guess at our self consumption (which was 553 kW)?

Interested to hear others experiences with this service. They're definitely a step above Powerswitch but Billy's effort is a 'must try harder' from me though without access to our inverters' logs I don't see how they will succeed in this regard.
