As per the usual std disclaimer.. "All thoughts typed here are my own."
A good wifi camera I have been playing around with.
Supports RTSP with a small hack.. http://xiaoyi.querex.be/

Good to know.
The last 2 IP cams I got from the same supplier I have bought from before have newer firmware on them, and this time they have an iframe pointing to some malware site that makes the antivirus do its job for once. Hope I can get a newer firmware without that feature from them.

Yeah I have a couple of these - great little cameras. They run Hilinux so once you have the right firmware you can telnet into them and tweak them which is pretty cool. Set timezones and disable things like the cloud services. I am running a couple using *motion* via RTSP and they work great. And for $US30 very hard to beat!
Anyone found any decent wired alarm systems on there?
Phone holder that uses the CD slot of the car stereo.
No sucktion cups falling off etc, and who has CDs anymore anyway

Nice quiet powerful enough DAC and headphone amp -
Loving these links, giving me ideas.
Richms/others, what do you think of this?
To decode the 5.1 coax output from my PC xonar soundcard , and power my 5.1 satellite speakers/subwoofer.
Currently using an old onkyo AV receiver which is total overkill in size and power.
[edit] no good, just realised specs only allow 2 channel out. Doh!
[edit again] wrong again, this uses RCA plugs to output to the speakers -- so, 1 channel per rca plug (as opposed to separate posts for +/- ). Not sure if this is the best way to power speakers?

Not home, but car... near enough?
I just received this and it's excellent... my car doesn't have BlueTooth, and the Audio line-in is inside the glovebox (How stupid is that, Ford Mondeo). Finally I can conveniently play music from my phone! And charge my phone.
Are you in Auckland? I'm always buying these things, and they never work properly in Auckland.
No, a long way from Auckland. And happy to find yet another reason not to live there! ;)
No bursts of static here... I'm very happy with it. The only downside I see is that this gadget's output is locked on 96.4 -- if there's an FM station nearby, on or near that frequency, it might not work to well. The manual was a an A5 with pictures and numbers, but no English. It has QR codes, but they didn't work.

I don't need anything with high fidelity, I just want to be able to listen to podcasts without loud bursts of static. Have probably tried four or five different Chinese FM transmitters and they're all rubbish. I never learn my lesson. Then again, Xiaomi stuff tends to be good quality for the price. I'll probably give in and try it...
I ended up buying a Flexsmart x3 from eBay after too many duds from China.
Quality sometimes costs. Works very well with my HTC m7.
A.
I too am addicted to AliExpress. Just hit 40 orders, Level A3: 1005 points. I don't mind waiting for things typically, so I order them from source.... (Item recommended sell price 10,000%)
So, in Aliexpress ..
Is there a way to view all the products of a search, and not have to do a "per page" click through to the next page ? Like the GZ single page option.
ie I search for 316 stainless steel screw. I get 1107 hits. That 45 items per page. Nearly 25 pages .. rather have 1 page of all 1107 items and quickly scroll through ...

145 orders. Level A3. But I don't seem to have any points.

You're taking fate in your own hands with SS screws from china. I haven't had mixed results with Chinese stainless steel screws because they've all been bad. Even locally retailed Chinese screws (*cough* Bunnings *cough* Trademe *cough*) are junk. Cr@ppy 316 SS = 1/3 popped heads, and all with surface rust.
If I can't get what I want genuinely locally, American brand name supplies through Amazon are a much more reliable bet.
