Interestingly, the first person to come around says their quote will be under 10K incl scaffolding.

So, we ended up getting 3 quotes. 1 Quote from a recommendation here, 1 from a guy who did a good job painting some of our interior and the third from a highly rated place on nocowboys who are part of a group of companies that do a number of things, including the grouting we had done in our bathroom by them last year we were happy with.

All 3 quotes came in under 10K, with the guy we went with, being the cheapest, but only by around $1500.  We didn't go with the cheapest for cheaps sake, but rather because we know two others who had houses done by him and his prior work on our house.

Scaffolding was quoted by 2 companies. The guy we are using said it would be of marginal value given the shape of our roof.  We did query safety, but he was adamant that it would be a hindrence rather than a help. Scaffolding was pretty cheap anyway at around $500.

Unfortunately, a bit of a wait till he can get it done, but we are super pleased at the price range after earlier being told we would be looking at between 3 and 5 times as much. If I had of known it was going to be this much, we may have opted to do it much earlier.

Thanks for all the advice in the thread.
