That one does have a built-in thermometer already.

@ShinyChrome It's the ash pan I'd be worried about - a gust of wind and it would go everywhere by the looks of it! So I'd still suggest the next model up, but for a different reason.

This place has it for $399, but the pictures look a little different (the ash basket isn't black like on the Weber site). But assuming it's a genuine product that wouldn't bother me.

I've never used a Weber Kettle, but I've only heard good things.

Whoops, yes got my models mixed up. The Ash pan can't be highly enough recommended. I'd never buy one that had an open tray like that.

Good point, thanks for the suggestion. I know a few people who have ordered from TradeTested, they seem fairly reputable. I was trying to be a cheap-skate and use my Airpoints, but that looks like it would be a worthy upgrade. Especially here in the Manawatu, where we famed for our entirely still weather where not much wind happens at all.

Good point, thanks for the suggestion. I know a few people who have ordered from TradeTested, they seem fairly reputable. Ash is light and fine, you could fart and spread ash :)

Turned up today , I have to admit it was one of the most easiest things to put together that I have had come in a pack. Everything fits perfectly none of this having to bend things because it is 5mm out or something.

Turfrey was fantastic to deal with kept me updated every step along the way of it being shipped.

Looking forward to playing (and eating) around at the weekend.

Q3200 query

Used mine Xmas Day for the second time. A burner kept going out. Flame seemed small but cant recall from the first use. Took a while to heat which I thought is odd, I'm sure it heated up quickly. Slowly got annoyed, kept checking it, re lighting a burner that had gone out. Didnt help that my mate had bought a $300 Jumbuck the day before and here is me with this flakey Weber!

So, after a period of annoyance, I tuned off the gas bottle, removed the gas fitting from it, re attached the gas fitting, turned on the bottle, lit it, and whoosh, back to normal. Wonderful flame, heats up really quick

Why would this be? Its new, been covered (with the bottle) with the Weber black cover. It appears that the gas flow was low, or low pressure, but after disconnecting the bottle all went great. Could it be that the bottle being warmed and cooled (we had a warm Spring), has upset the pressure inside the bottle? The bottle is about half full

I use the stainless non direct thingie that you can use for chips or veges in the Q3200, for kebabs. Its great, they dont get blackened, but the bottom of the container gets blackened, and hard to get off. Should I spray oil on it first, then a quick spray when adding the next batch of kebabs?

Some regulators have an excess flow safety feature.

Cheers, must have been that, as I undid and reattached as per he video and all ok now. Odd think to happen after using it just once a few weeks back
