If the manual states it will take a 27" plate in the lowest position and it does, it would be good will on their part, but honestly, after 6 weeks, that feels like you didn't prioritize it.

If the manual states it will take a 27" plate in the lowest position and it doesn't, then you are entitled to a refund.  Clearly not fit for purpose.

If the manual states it will take a 27" AND glasses in the same load whilst that tray is in the lowest position and doesn't same as above, but if it makes no assertions (and I suspect it won't), then the first thing applies.

I have always loaded Plates, pots (not non stick) in the bottom rack. On the middle load cups, non crystal glasses, small plates and sundries. On the top cutlery etc (not kitchen knives)

We always wash our stainless steel pots and pans by hand. It's normally quick and easy. When it's not, Bar Keepers Friend is a true miracle product for burnt-on food or oil residue. Absolutely remarkable. I wish I had access to that stuff when I was a kid doing the dishes!

Can't access the last bit of milk on your cornflakes with the octagonal bowls.

A that point it becomes a cup.

Any tips for build-up on the outside of enamel casserole dishes etc?

Have heard good things regarding this product but know little about it. Searching shows they seem to have several products. Which one are you referring to and where do you get it? Thanks.

We use Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser, 340g. We got it at Stevens.

Sorry I have no experience with deep cleaning those dishes.

OP appears to have posted a review “one month ago”, via the HN website.

4 out of 5 stars.

Great clean, poor layout and not that quiet

It cleans very very well but for a mid-range priced dishwasher some polish is lacking. All of the non-quiet cycles are loud. The 'satellite' spraying arm is not quiet at all. The cutlery tray means that the bottom and top drawers are very tight on space - even a standard 27 cm dinner plate doesn't fit in the bottom tray (despite the manual stating a 27cm dinner plate would). We've just removed the cutlery tray and bought a cheap cutlery basket and lifted the top drawer up and it has improved space. It's pretty good but I wish we just went with the Bosch.

Agree that nonstick is a no-no unless you want your eggs to taste like Finish.

Ughh! Wouldn’t be so bad if they tasted like danish. Or swede. But Finish? Norway!

Tasting like polish would be awful too.

Wowee. Full store credit! We can pick a new dishwasher. Better take the plate along this time.
