You can impact drive with the drill, but its not very impacty since its just the clutch doing it.

The drill in the combo pack is a toy. Mine stripped out the gears the first time the going got hard on it, whereas the seperate hammer one is much more robust and has really done lots for me that should probably have been done with a larger drill.

The brushless drill is horrible, dont go there till they make a normal one rather than their silly e torque thing.

Well according to Amazon, the 4AH batteries weigh 800 grams, I imagine your 5mah weighs near 1kg, does that sound about right?
I dont have a scale that does that sort of range sorry, but I dont have a problem with it on the drills. For light stuff I have a cheap ozito 3 cell drill which does the trick for small holes into wood.
What about your kitchen scales, so useful when you're making scones or cakes?!
I dont have one of those as I do not make scones or cakes. I have a bathroom one that tells me I am fat and a small one for weighing rings and stuff.

I guessed that you didn't, based on your earlier posts discussing dietary preferences - hence the exclamation mark!

Sorry to be dumb, but would you mind linking me to the unit you recommend so there is no misunderstanding? To be fair most my drilling is small holes in walls etc for hanging pictures, hooks for bikes into studs etc. I know I am needing spoon feeding here, and I apologise.

If that is the limit then you will be fine with the included drill.

Its if you start to use these you will kill it.

I cant see the drill I got anymore, I guess they have replaced it with that brushless turd.

networkn: Do Ryobi go on special much? I think I saw a special over xmas, but I think it was like $5 off.?

Bunnings don't seem to do sales.

I decided to get the Ryobi One+ 18V Line Trimmer over Christmas and the price didn't move at all during everyone else's boxing day/new year sales.

I checked website and and the mailers regularly and the price didn't budge.

If you are near chch you are welcome to take mine for a test drive.

edgeing wheel on the expensive one. Usually the head swivels (it does on the ryobi) so its running tangentally to the ground, and that means you can edge down into the grass at the edge of a driveway etc.

Also if your current one is just dead batteries, check out aliexpress for clone ones to get it going again.

Welcome. That 4Ah is the smallest I use in the bigger hammer drill and the leaf blower. They chew through the smaller batteries quite quickly.

Really? I have done some pretty intensive things with mine. Lots of drilling into reinforced concrete. Never missed a beat. (Got bloody hot though!).

yep pretty much what I found when goggling

not a lot of weight really when the line trimmer weighs

2.5Ah would be the minimum I would get, and it seems the 1.3Ah gives 10-15 mins

may as well buy the 4Ah kit as it works out a bit cheaper than buying things separately

How did that work for you when its not got hammer on it? IME concrete is not very stressful on a drill at all, its the large bits in wood that really stress it.
