Ive purchased a UK Roku LT. I'd like to use it to access BBC iPlayer via my Telecom VDSL connection.

I have the standard tg589vn router. Can any one advise me if this can be configured for unblock-us or do I need to look at a second wifi router? Was thinking about an Airport Extreme as I have mainly apple gear?

Yes it can, but I believe you will have to use the CLI to configure custom DNS.

Just use what ever DNS ip you are using

Thanks - reading that link, it looks like I need a way to enter the right DNS addresses. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this easily.

As an easy fix, can i simply plug an airport extreme (or other suitable router) into one of the ports on the existing modem/router and configure the DNS and a separate wireless network?

Yes that would also work, note its not ideal to do all your browsing through these DNS servers as they *could* capture any network traffic that goes through them
