Does anyone else on these forums watch NFL content via the Game Pass website or apps here in NZ? As of today it looks like the free ride is over.

Up until today I had been enjoying free access to NFL Game Pass content. This afternoon I have hit a subscription pay wall for the first time. Are there any other Game Pass viewers who can confirm the content is now behind a pay wall for them and it's not just me being penalised for watching it too much.

I think I had that prior to the last season and then it suddenly was free again. See what happens again this season.

yep. paywall for me too. US$200 pretty steep, NHL was US$99 for the whole season plus playoffs. tried going through the netherlands as it was free there last season too, but looks like it will be US$200 worldwide (or equivalent local currency). NBA league pass was quite steep too ~NZ$300 for the season, but it was cheaper using a vpn through india. doesn't look like it's the case with the NFL.

I checked the NFL site going through USA and found it a lot cheaper. To watch all games including playoffs and superbowl on game rewind  is only $69 a year. While just following one team is $29.00 to watch replays of all their games. Live prices are not out yet.

IMHO the price is not too bad given the features. Obviously the $0 I paid previously was much better value!

$259.99 purchasing through the app while the US$199 is about NZ$230 at the moment. if you buy the enough itunes cards at 2x$20 for $30 the $260 works out to be $195.

Oh god this is sad news.  I loved game pass.  I even had it installed in XBMC - it was fantastic.

That sucks, I only watched the occasional game so not shelling out that much. I pay 99usd for nhl game centre about 125nzd at the time which seems reasonable. No point trying to over charge, if I wanted to be ripped of I'd just get sky

Yeah I'm not going to subscribe at those prices considering most games are played when I'm at work.  I'll revert to highlights, dodgy streams and internet radio commentary.

if you dont mind just watching replays of all your favourite team's games , then its only $29.00 a year. You have to be in the USA but thats easy.

And then there's Sommet Sports. Hopefully they pick up the 2014 season also.

Do you need a VPN or does a DNS unblocker work?

I think we were so so lucky. I certainly appriciated the free season we had.
Maybe it was a sneaky ploy to get us all hooked
