I noticed on the amazon fire tv there is an app for tubitv.com.
The sites owners claim to have launched with something like 3,000 titles (movies and TV shows) .
I installed the app on the Fire TV and can see a small set of offerings - not a bad product for free I guess.

What I cant figure is - if you go to their website you can see quite a few extra programs/movies that dont show on the Fire TV app.

For example Space 1999 and Black books appear on the website but nowhere to be seen on the Fire TV app. Likewise Spaced and Peep Show.

There is also no sign of a search on their website (nor on the Fire TV for that matter).

Maybe its just a very poor app on the Fire TV.
Anyone had a poke around with tubitv?

If thats legal, that's pretty cool. Even NZ shows like Outrageous Fortune on there

Its supposed to be legit - I noticed a bit of NZ content on there - someone must have done a deal.
Just a bit annoying that the Amazon Fire TV tubi app doesnt seem to let you access much of the content.
Maybe is just a shonky app - or needs more work....

It's likely to do with licensing. Being licensed to stream online but not devices or something along those lines
