I notice On Demand sites (TV1) are adopting encrypted streaming to prevent downloading. Nice for them but my wireless RBI has trouble keeping up so I get stuttering and drop-outs. Downloading is the only way to avoid this problem. I can’t improve my connection speed unless 4g reaches our area. Does anyone have any ideas for getting around this problem?

Who's your RBI provider? I have no streaming issues with my RBI connection. Which RBI router do you have, and approx where do you live?

I don't know if it's to your taste, and whether you want to pay for unotelly, but BBC iPlayer lets you download most things.

Thanks for the replies. I don’t always have problems. It varies with time of day and network congestion. I just find downloading works much better for me, also because I have to watch my data cap. I’m not trying to steal anything, I just want to watch On Demand without hassles. My ISP is Netspeed and I have global mode so BBC, etc., work well for me. I can download most stuff I want but TV One has just gone over to encrypted streaming and I can’t download that, which is what I would like to be able to do. All the software solutions depend on screen capture, but that’s not much good if the stream is the problem in the first place.
