LG LB650V, SC-BTT405 Panasonic Home theatre system. Netflix sound is quite a bit lower than everything else, ie broadcast tv or Youtube, is that normal?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Netflix is (much) softer for us too - we use an 80% volume setting

Ah, thanks for that. I have Netflix on 80%, if I used that on anything else the walls would be shaking. So its just a Netflix issue then, Youtube I have about 50%.

Yeah it's much lower on my Panasonic TV watching through the app. Have to have the tv volume turned up to about 30-35 while watching Netflix, always forget to turn it back down and get blasted when I switch back to Freeview!! :)

How are you connecting the TV and home theatre?
ARC or optical?

Optical but Arc is available, is that better?

I don't know if it helps anyone, but I found the sound a bit soft using Netflix on my Samsung Smart TV.  I was just fiddling around with the tv's sound settings and it's a lot louder on the movie setting.

Now that's a good suggestion to try, thanks. We have the same issue with Netflix via an Xbox360 to a Sharp TV. Volume upwards of 90% while everything else in the 20's. Thankfully the TV remembers volumes based on inputs so we don't get blasted when changing to other sources.

I watch Netflix via the PS4 through HDMI to the Amp and the sound is fine in that it match's the TV broadcast sound level; I have noticed on the PS4 Media Player App a Sound level tool to change the Apps volume I agree with 'jmh' have a play with the TV's sound setup.
