I need a new (and inexpensive) media player. This one sounds pretty able. Anyone tried it?

It looks just like any other android/google box - there are heaps of them on the online electronics sites.

Just google the word "tvfrog" - the very first entry is this https://www.highya.com/tv-frog-reviews

If the reviews from users underneath are true, it looks like complete junk.

the mi box is cheaper and a lot better.  android in a tv box isnt that great, the navigation isnt always designed for remotes and you need the wireless mouse (which is included!).

go with an Android TV device (difference between an android box you connect to a tv, and an Android TV box, the OS is slightly different and designed for remote).

The mi box is a proper Android TV device and designed for a remote (included).  you can get them for about nzd$100 shipped from aliexpress etc.
