They really need a "watch from beginning" button, or something along those lines.

Is it just me or has the quality improved slightly since the beginning of the season? The grass doesn't seem to go as blurry during moments of fast paced action.

I was interested (surprised) to see a female assistant referee during the Hull game! I'm not implying anything by that statement just that you don't see that very often. Are there any female "full" referees I wonder?

No I wasn't following footie back then. Yes it was Sian Massey at the Hull game - so she's been a linesman since at least 2011 - quite surprised that I hadn't seen her already this season. Considering female football is so big there should probably be more in my opinion!

Back OT, yes they need an option to either "play live" or start from the beginning - I fell for that this morning with the Man U match when I started watching at around 5.30am. If I had a choice the game should always start from the beginning and if you want to you can drag the slider to the current live point. - strangely if you try to drag the slider beyond the current live point it bounces back to where you were last playing and not the live point - that could do to be changed also.

To the other poster, yes the quality has improved - resolution has been excellent for me but still a little motion jitter on the panning shots which I only notice when I'm not watching the ball. I do hope they come up with a TV app for the Samsung - that will make it the full package in my eyes and save me unplugging and moving my PC every Sunday morning.

Air played it to TV and it was unwatchable at times.
Great result though so no complaints.

I don't think I've seen anyone get a consistent AirPlay to work. I've only ever used either PC or work laptop - both have HDMI and quality is great.
Football result - meh :( Saints were out to impress the England manager and they did - it was still good football and at least Hull got one back.

I always use Airplay on mine, and bar one occasion with poor results, its worked well every other time.

Only issue for me is that I can't turn my iPad screen off while the video is playing over Airplay.

Sian Massey is probably the best one in the PL, IMHO.
She has run the line in a few Swans games, and made a few great calls, TV repays showed she has been right each time - including ruling a late Man City goal offside, the season before last, when we beat them 1-0 :)

I spoke to CSM yesterday and they confirmed if you have anything less than 7Mbps you can forget about getting an acceptable video quality.

If it only runs at 3Mbps, why would that be?

My connection is not great, I normally get between 5-6Mbps, and the quality is normally "acceptable" - not great, but certainly viewable.

Decided to try it out for the Arsenal game today with the free 24 hour pass I got for their survey a few weeks back as it expires next weekend. Connected the laptop to the TV via HDMI. The picture was clear, better than I'd expected and wasn't too much different to SD Sky. Speedtest.net tells me my speed is generally around 10mbps and I had no trouble running it at the highest setting with no buffering or pauses at all. However, the whole game was very jittery and uncomfortable to watch and did not run smoothly at all. The best way I can think to describe it was that it felt like it was being filmed with a handheld video camera. It seemed much better on the laptop so it must not transport very well to the TV. So for that reason I won't be paying out for it in its present state as I want to watch it on my 42 inch full HD TV, not on my laptop.

Maybe streaming it wireless to the TV is better but I don't have any of the equipment to test that. Would have thought wired was best though.

So for now I'm happy to stick with watching the delayed Arsenal TV on Sky as I always recorded and rarely ever watched live anyway.

It is designed for smaller devices such as phones, tablets, laptops etc as in the US people who watch on big TVs do so by cable or dedicated networks.

I actually find the 1600kbps stream to be more fluid than the 3000kbps stream - go figure!

Understood. I don't have a tablet or smartphone and don't want to watch on my laptop when I have a nice big TV. As log as I can still watch Arsenal on Sky on my TV then that's good enough for me. I don't even think HD is the number 1 for me like it is for others, I just need to be able to see the game and while the picture provided by PLP was good enough, I don't want to feel dizzy watching it. If Sky lose the other sports I pay for it for then I'll be dropping it and will reconsider.
