@Groynk,

It should be built in, not a skill we need to learn.  When Sky had the rights, you hit record, even if you got up 1/2 way through, you could just go to planner and press select on the part record and it would start from the beginning.  Have the ability to stream a live event from the beginning of the recording doesn't make the recording any less live; in fact I'd suggest that as their recording anway, why do we not have the option to join in live or at the beginning.

StarBlazer: I have my laptop resolution on 720p and stream at 1600kbps.  HDMI connected to a 40" 2013 model Samsung TV - this gives me the smoothest results with picture quality high enough to see faces in the crowd. Higher resolution and frame rate gives me the judder issue.

I will be renewing next season and hoping that the app will be available on my TV by then.

Thanks, will trying tweaking those and see if it makes a differece.

Slightly off topic but seems like the place to ask - what would be the best pub/s in Auckland to watch the England vs Italy in the Fifa World Cup on Sunday 15th June @ 10AM? Wanting a lively atmosphere with lots of people, good quality big screens etc. Let me know your recommendations. Thanks!

What about 'The Paddington' in Parnell, Auckland? Just saw this link - http://www.thepaddington.co.nz/paddington-football-supporters-club.html - anyone watched any big football matches here before? Lively atmosphere? Likely to attract big crowds? Thanks!

I'm sure both will be huge.

We used Paddington 8 years ago.

The Fox may do the 4am club thing too. They did for the FA Cup final and had 100 Gooners and a Hull fan there. Great night.

I can only hope they do two new things as a minimum for this season:

1) allow us to purchase access to only one team and full condensed highlights (a la match of the day) for a cheaper rate; and
2) give us the ability to start live games at the beginning of the stream not at the live point.

i thought they had already mentioned before the start of last season that a sigle team pass is not available as per agreement with premier league
i do hope they can offer cheaper fee for subcriber who sign up second consecutive season

I really want the Samsung TV app to be made available to my 2013 model TV - I can't see it on SportsFlow - but I may not be looking properly!

Procrastination eventually pays off.

I know but it sucks that I only want to watch one team play football yet I have to pay the same as I pay for Sky Sports!  I'm still bitter that its all been fragmented and its not on my easy to use single interface with remote control (havne't seen the app yet for the 2012 samsung TVs) :-)

I received an email a few weeks back from them saying;

"Hyundai have sent us your details advising you recently completed a test drive with them, which entitles you to a free season subscription to PremierLeaguePass."

I was not intending on subscribing this year unless they updated their Samsung TV app to allow my 2011 Smart TV to use it. I really hope they do, otherwise I'll probably revert to watching the games on Sky, delayed.

Apparently its not SportsFlow but a PLP app.  They've got the 2014 models covered and said they would relase 12/13 models during the season break... I don't think they will though Samsung are quite lazy when it comes to their old products and PLP don't care... They get samsungs money all the same!
