reven: netflix is pretty great it has

breaking bad season 1 to 5 (not second half of season 5 though)

The last season (second half of S5) of Breaking Bad is available on Netflix UK.

We access Netflix through Unblock US - so I opened Unblock, changed to UK, signed in to Netflix UK and we watched the final half-season there. The change from Ublock US to UK is pretty much a one-click affair.

It's great that one Netflix sub gives you access to all of their country sites.

Not quite true. If your VPN service allows you to easily switch between a US and UK IP address, you can gain access to the second half of season 5 via NetFlix UK. Thats how we watched it, until we caught up with the episodes being broadcast on SOHO :-)

Both these sites allow you to add the item selected directly to your Netflix queue.

Oh I did not realise that

so you don't need seperate US & UK Nexflix accounts to watch in both regions ?

My US based account will also enable Netflix UK ?

Have not tried the UK version yet but assumed I would need a seperate account

I have plenty enough on my watchlist as it is, but this would be cool if true.

I assumed that you'd need separate accounts too. But to our surprise we can switch simply by changing our preferred NetFlix region in UnoDNS and restarting our NetFlix client app.

if you have a US netflix account, then you can watch netflix in any country that has it. It's because they think you are on holiday traveling through the countries.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

If there are any 'redditors' here, I've discovered quite a few good movies/docos I didn't realise were on Netflix, by subscribing to r/NetflixBestOf

Also came across this story on reddit, which will be pretty sweet if it happens.

Thanks for that reddit. I love docos above anything so that's good to know!

happy to confirm that you can indeed view the other regional Netflix versions using one account.

A splash page pops up that says you must be on holiday and advises the lineup will be different.

UK Netflix has quite a lot of shows/movies that US does not - has the Hobbit and Downton Abbey for instance

rokki: Hi i think what you want is this http://www.moreflicks.com/

Thanks, bookmarked!

Indeed, that's brilliant!

Great to see the current season of Homeland on Netflix...

Re Homeland - did you mean "It will be great to see the current season of Homeland on Netflix"? Seasons 2 and 3 do not seem to be available on Netflix in any country yet?

Sorry, I thought I'd seen the current season (3) listed on there when I checked it out back when I posted that. If not, that's disappointing.

My main reason for wanting to sign up to such a service as Netflix is to access decent programming like Homeland, and to access it soon after (if not at the same time as) its initial conventional release. Others posted of the typical delays to programmes on Netflix, I had just thought I'd found an exception!
