Just received this message from Unblock-us a couple of minutes ago.  I'm with Telecom and am having the same problem.

"We are aware of an issue affecting users in New Zealand that are using Telecom New Zealand and our tech team are currently looking into this."

Just sent more (of the same) information. Traceroute looks the same to me, so I'm not sure if whatever they are trying to do is working.

Am trying Unotelly and it works for the Beeb.

Got same email. I've found this website tunrl.net and use their dns servers for bbc and ITV. works like a treat and is free but netflix doesn't. Therefore I use a DNS switcher program call DNS jumper and added unblocks DNS and tunrl.net DNS servers in. I can now switch easily and watch all my content until unblock fix the issue.

Incidentally this looks to be affecting unblock US only. I use Uno Telly which is also a DNS solution service. With Telecom and can watch BBC fine so far.

I've just subscribed to UnoTelly and all good now.  I guess I will cancel my unblock-us subscription.

Unblock-Us have responded saying they cannot see a problem on their side and suggest I talk to Telecom about it. Hmmm.

Been using unotelly for a week now - it hasn't missed a beat.

The service seems to work more reliably than unblock-us was before this issue. They should rename the service 'block-us'.

How much is it per month? Was thinking of going with unblock us but bbc iplayer not working is a big let down.

Thanks mate just been reading your post regarding the DNS switching software. I will try that out tonight using tunlr.net

$4.99 USD per month, cheaper if you commit to a longer period.

Tunlr.net works great, but I use a Samsung blu-Ray player with Smart Tv on and tunlr.net doesn't work with BBC on that (though it does with ITV), so for now the paid option is best.

I use unblock.us DNS addresses on my Philips 3D Blu-ray player / Net TV. I registered the player as a UK purchase...which gave me the BBC iPlayer app.

It worked great last night....

Hmmmm... OK so I have an LG Smart Blu-ray 3D player. Love it but I have already registered this to my NZ LG account. Does anyone know if I can update (register) this player to US and get the Netflix app on it?

This would be awesome! and complete my set-up both upstairs and downstairs.

Pretty new to this Netflix stuff... but House of Cards needs me!

I've been in touch with Unblock-Us about the same problem:

"We are currently seeing a number of problems from some users in New Zealand, when they try to access some UK services. In all these cases the ISP has been Telecom New Zealand, so I suspect this is the same issue."

But no resolution as yet.

Telecom here as well. Pity.

I'm still on a trail for unblock-us and not sure I will continue if iPlayer doesn't work. Will try Unotelly as well.
