My issue was occurring on a 360, not sure if that's what Tk421nz is talking about. I had the same problems on both 360 and Apple TV however, they were both as bad as each other.
Either way, I packed up my 360 this weekend after buying an Apple TV so can't re-test it on the much improved getflix DNS option. Wasn't going to pay Xbox Live fees just to watch Netflix.

I think the issue must be that transparent proxy that Vodafone is using.

I'm on ADSL2+ and I get around 14mbps on telecom. Via browser for me it runs great HD all the time. Takes a minute or so to buffer HD while playing but after that runs without pausing so can't complain at all.
Not sure what the differences are between Vodafone and telecom but at the speeds you state you should certainly be getting the stream in HD.

You gave me an idea there. Unotelly has dynamo servers in Sydney as well as Auckland. Changed the DNS to Unotelly Sydney, and guess what: no buffering!
Resolution still does not look fantastic. I'm reluctant to change my ISP as I signed up for 60GB @ $55/mth, which is a great deal. This deal is no longer available, so I think I'll keep with it.

For some reason the Auckland DNS server was not available for me when I started my trial.

Well that's good. Vodafone\TCL do strange things with local peering as I recall, so not entirely surprised to find Oz based services work better. You could still give getflix a try as a comparison 'cos my quality is really good. After all that though, you did say you were only getting 14mb/s so I'd be calling Vodafone and seeing what they can do about that, or change ISP's... it's only a great deal if you're getting the speed you need.

Had a 3-4 rebuffering moments last night between 7.30 and 9pm but probably only about 20 seconds each.
Problem for me is I've had that nagging feeling my connection isn't as good as it should, or could be for a couple of years now and it really bugs me being a connected person. Things like buying a brand new router 18 months ago due to constant drop outs occurring whilst TCL couldn't see any issue with my connection at all. As it turned out after finally getting a technician around, my cable modem should have been replaced several years previously. The advertised speed has gone from 5Mb to 130Mb/s over the years but it just seems more flakey these day than ever for normal browsing and most things streaming. And then there's that proxy... occasional strange routing and slow caching. All these things just bubble away begging the question, what other issue could I be missing, who else could do better?
Then I just work on the fact that there is no such thing as the perfect internet connection.
