Been with Unblock-Us for nearly 3 years now, don't have a problem with their service.
But the one thing I would like, is to have the ability to have different regions on different devices for Netflix.

another former unblock-us user that switched to unotelly due to geekzone discount.

unblockus I found worked easier, configured on router and never needed to set up dns settings per device, with unotelly a couple of devices (google tvs) needed to have their DNS settings changed as well.   but most devices didn't need this.

For another dollar or so you can get a vpn too.

unblock-us does not offer VPN.

Unblock-US do have a VPN service included in the standard charge.

I use the Unblock-US VPN on my iPad when away from home.

unblock-us also offer the app to update your IP or you can use use DynDNS

Unblock-US has an auto-update app?  Why did I not know this?

Glassboy: I like Unotelly, but I'd be much happier if it worked for streaming Bathhurst.

Yeah, Unotelly worked for V8 Supercars last year but doesn't seem to work this year. Signed up for a trial of Getflix which supports V8 Superview and worked well last weekend. Like the Getflix control panel thing to set your Netflix region etc.

dns4me is what I use. It has some clever little features that I find essential (host file generator, custom IP addresses, multiple IP accesszones) that others don't, but then again, if you don't use them, then it's neither here nor there compared with other equally good services.

It seems a good thing that there's a good spread of people using the various providers - keep 'em all honest!

Mantis, Just curious about how you got that V8 superview to work with getflix? I just went to their site and it said unavailable for Aus and NZ viewers and redirected me to foxtel and sky sports sites.

Thanks

It's quite handy.  Makes it easy to turn it off and on too, if, for example, you want to watch, say, youtube and get a better experience suing your ISPs DNS

They do seem to have that message all over their site, just ignore it. Make sure your Getflix is all set up and working and then try to stream a race. It should work. If somethings not working it will show you the "you can't view this in you location" message when you actually try and play a video.

The SuperCars web site is a big ol' mess.  Until the race started last year it kept displaying the unavailable message, but once they started streaming you could get the stream up.

What did you use instead of Unotelly?

I switched from unblockus to unlocator.com because the latter provide access to more content (specifically, RAI in Italy)...but that's a pretty specific reason that probably doesn't appeal to many.

Quite a few people asked and asked for unblock-us to provide support for RAI, but they just ignored the requests.  I found that a little annoying.

Unlocator works really well with Netflix.

Unotelly have a local DNS server (Auckland) compared to others which are out of the country (unless that has changed). Makes browsing etc more responsive.

There is RAI app on samsung, which gives all the Rai italian channels and on demand. Not geo restricted either.
