Kiwiuk: Using Unotelly for over two years, a happy camper. With the geekzone discount you can't go wrong :)

How is the geekzone discount supposed to work? Do you get the discount every month?
With the code I used it was only discounted for one month...

If you use the PayPal subscription option the discount will be for as long as your subscription is active, if you use the PayPal single payment option the discount will only apply to that transaction (this is the dns4me discount)

I've subscribed to the DNS4me after 8 days of trying UnoTelly.

UnoTelly is good, the Dynamo configuration screen is nice though DNS4me can be paid in NZD and has Geekzone discount (so 10% + Facebook discount of 35%) is really cheap - I subscribed to yearly and only just short of $23/year! :-D

One other thing to note - if you want a VPN service in addition to a DNS spoofer (perhaps for anonymity reasons, for example), you'll have to go with a separate VPN provider if you choose dns4me as they don't package any VPN options.

This is in contrast to Unotelly, who do offer a VPN as an extra $ add-on. I'm gonna stick with dns4me due to their other aforementioned advantages, but am presently casting about for a VPN provider, which will add to my overall costs (and does add up to more than if I were to go with a bundled VPN with one of the other guys).

michaelmurfy: I use dns4me because of their host file meaning I can still use my providers DNS whilst enjoying anything I want unblocked. They've got great service too.

Thanks Michael - can you elaborate a bit more on above, I don't quite understand your comments re the dns4me host file. What is it, how does it work, why is it different to UnoTelly? cheers

Enables you to get away with not using their DNS servers. I've posted a tutorial here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=151&topicid=171173

Was with unotelly for a year and switched to dns4me as it was a bit cheaper and from memory allowed payment (in NZD) without saving all your credit card details. Unotelly kept the details and you couldnt remove them.I don't like numerous sites having all my financial details - just call me paranoid.

Service from both has been excellent. Raised a support call with unotelly once and they were very quick to help me resolve the issue. Likewise dns4me - I asked about a free movie streaming site called tubitv.com - wasn't really expecting them to do anything, but they cheerfully added it as one of their services.

I also love the fact that with dns4me you can add your own custom unblocks for sites you might want to access and also generate your own hosts file as well. I have set up a raspberry pi I had sitting around as my household DNS server so just loaded the custom hosts file that I can get from dns4 and have sped up some internet access.

I do find the way that Dns4me interface a bit clearer to use - though maybe unotelly have improved theirs.

Either way - both are very good services - no complaints with either.

I was with Unotelly for most of the past year, but saw this deal https://stacksocial.com/sales/getflix-lifetime for a lifetime sub to Getflix, which I couldn't pass up, even if Unotelly is a bit more polished and covers more services.

I'm a dns4me user too. Good price with the discounts, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen the others offering the ability to add zones for one subscription?

Essentially it means you can have the service running in more than one location at the same time.

I can't get it to work with Unotelly or StremrTV. It keeps saying the connection is lost and asks if I have an Internet connection. Works fine with your method.
