Out of interest I was watching my Netflix account at my mother's house when I set her up with unotelly for itv and Corro St. She has since been watching it herself at same time as me (my home)
I was wondering how the T&Cs covered two ppl watching from different addresses on the same account. I know it mentions two screens in my account version but at seperate addresses?
netflix is 2 streams (can get 4 streams as well). people travel and might watch on a train/plane/hotel room with one other person watching at home. so multiple ip's arent an issue.
I am using UnoTelly with a Roku and I watch ESPN, HBO, Showtime, Fox, etc by using a family member's cable account in the US. When I initially install the channel on the Roku it asks me to authenticate with one of the cable providers listed. I go to the webpage, enter the authentication code, username and password, and Bob's ya uncle.
As far as I am aware, the cable company cannot see the devices (iPads, smartphones, Rokus, Apple TVs, etc) that are on the account. I have been using her cable service to authenticate for almost 2 years now and she has never ever had any questions asked by her provider.
I also actually pay for some of her cable bill each month, so I'm not freeloading on her service.
You can go to a number of different sites and people are willing to "sell" you authentication for USD$15 per month so you can hook up your Roku or whatever against their account. It is also very common for kids or other family members who live away from home (i.e. at college, etc) to do the same thing and watch their parent's cable service in their dorm room.
