I'd plug the 110v one in - outside incase it vents something and see what happens in that case. Cable will still be useful to transplant even if there is an unlikly event that the adapter goes pop.

I might cut the cable and put proper adapter on so I don't have to pay $30 odd for a multi adapter from jaycar/dse/playtech/pbtech. I don't like white smoke leaking from things

Yeah I would say its a fair good chance it will be smoking if you put it on 230V. Don't really like the smell of it myself, but to each his own I suppose.
I have spoken to our level two support who have confirmed that the HDMI firmware update will be released in New Zealand. However, we don't know if this will be before the end of the year. Also, The 84 inch model will need a hardware change and not just a firmware update."

geekiegeek: What's the easiest way to sort out the power for one of these? I have one on the way and want to grab an adaptor/converter before it gets here.
