Hi littleheaven

Your Airpoints account will continue.  I have a credit card linked to mine so i will still earn Airpoints, and you can still use the Onesmart card as an airpoints card to swipe to collect airpoints, but the really good use of the onesmart for the US Itunes account is gone so i'm looking at a US Paypal to see if this will work.

i really don't want to go out and open a new credit card

Thanks for that. A US PayPal would be great - I thought you needed a social security number to get one though.

sbiddle: Travelex issue the cards. Air NZ simply brand the Travelex product (which is similar to what many banks are doing also).

I assume the same problem would happen with the QantasCash Cards, which are also issued by Travelex?

So my new Loaded for Travel card is all set up. No go on Hulu. As with the OneSmart card, I can load it into the payment info on US iTunes in my browser and it accepts it, but if I open the payment info on my iPad it asks me to confirm the security code and then tells me the card has been declined. Confusing. I suspect this means it won't work. Oh well, I guess buyfrompowerseller will be seeing a lot more of me from now on, unless someone else finds success with something better.

As suggested on the other thread, you can setup a US Paypal account, with a US address and then you can add a New Zealand credit card, which I have done with my Westpac Airpoints Mastercard.

Not sure if you can use a US Paypal account directly with iTunes or Hulu, but it does help in purchasing iTunes or Hulu digital vouchers from paypal_digital_gifts on eBay, the official seller of US vouchers on eBay. $ for $ and works great.

Thanks. Sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through when I can buy legit vouchers with my NZ credit card from a reseller so I might just stick to doing that. Or get my US friends to buy them and PayPal them the money from my NZ PayPal account. All is not lost :)

Just a question?

What happens if you go back to and only use the browser, not the iPad.

Thanks

It seems fine, but every time I go back in, the security code field is empty. The problem is, if I try to purchase an app, it's done on the iPad or Apple TV, both of which will ask for security code verification and, I assume, reject it.

Thanks for the info.  The Security code field empty is normal, just click cancel and takes you out.  For a purchase it normally only asks for the pass word to the account.

If I have occasion to buy an app, I'll report back as to whether it got accepted or not :)

Same story here. My new Onesmart card does not work with US iTunes.

Where's the best place to buy US iTunes vouchers online? I tried pcgamesupply.com but kept getting the message  "Your order could not be processed. Your payment has been voided." when I tried using (i) my OneSmart card (which I foolishly loaded up with $) and (ii) a NZ credit card.

What am I doing wrong?

I loaded my Onesmart card into my Paypal account and used Paypal to buy vouchers from pcgamesupply.com. This worked fine.

I buy from buyfrompowerseller.com and from memory have used both an NZ credit card and also used my new OneSmart there last week to buy a Hulu card. I've found them to be very reliable over several years.
