Cric Australia live pass unfortunately works only on Google and Apple devices. They didn't seem to have anything for Windows folk like me.

But I was able to buy Sling TV (just US$10 for 1 month sport-only subscription..(how cool is that!!!)). They also have a US$80/year sport-only subscription which is amazing value for money!

...and the last two overs of the match was simply fantastic! Unbelievable ending!

Cric Australia live pass is only for phones, it is not for TVs or Laptops as that market is controlled by Channel Nine.

As an aside will the days of cheap subscriptions for sports from services in countries different to the source country eventually end? If more people start to watch online or stream then will the provider/owner of the sport move to a worldwide global price?

Legal. I was thinking more along the lines of instead of selling to a broadcaster for $1 million say of guaranteed money and they have it as filler you target the ex-pats or dedicated fans directly with a subscription service? The price will be higher but you expect the ex-pats/dedicated fans to pay for it.

Probably depend on the sport and population of country involved but it may happen

Where did you find that deal? I went to sling.tv and the had the $20, $25, and $40 packages, plus the addon packages (like World Cricket), but no $10 standalone sports package.

I signed up for the $20 pack + World Cricket but all they have is highlights packages, and not for any NZ games.

Am I missing something obvious (other than that NZ aren't playing right at this minute)?

If you go to the following link and select the World Sport tab, it would take you to the US$10/month or the US$80/year deals. All live cricket matches are also shown in addition to highlights (i.e. whatever is broadcasted by Willow TV) and that's how I was able to watch SL vs Aus but NZ team doesn't feature in that channel unfortunately.

NZ vSA series is on ESPN3 U.S so if you get Sling tv with the ESPN channels you can watch it there.

That is excellent! Thank you so very much for sharing that. Finally a legit source! More than happy to be paying them a decent fee for the entertainment, which in this case is US$20/month - Sling Blue package. I can't believe all my cricket and tennis needs are sorted now!!!

Yep, watched the NZ game on Saturday (though wished I hadn't...) Now all I need to do is find out how to get the Sling app on my iPhone. I know I need to change my app store location to US, but it won't accept a NZ credit card (unsurprisingly - and got a quick phone call from the bank's fraud squad for my attempts to do so). What's the simplest way to load an approved payment method for the US app store - US Itunes card?
