rb99:

iPlayer thinks I'm in London. I guess if necessary I just pick a London postcode ?

Use the old top gear address and postcode... :D

turb: Best to move this discussion to the Unblocking Services Discussion forum I think!

Wait... there's an unblocking services discussions forum?

Nope, just a thread.

Edit: As noted below, this is wrong!

Maybe I should have actually read the thread that I linked to... embarassed (although 92 replies is a lot for a thread that effectively says "don't talk about stuff here"!)

so the new sign up just requires an email address and a UK postcode and your age.. how have people entered in "new zealand" as a postcode as stated previously?

im using getflix as my my unblocker so can the beeb see my IP address or is it seeing the getflix one?

if it blocks my account for some reason could i just up again using a different email addy?

I think I created an account when I first set up iPlayer. I had to do it for another UK service too - I think it was All4. I just used the address of my ancestral home (my Grandad's house in Wiltshire). I haven't tried to access it lately, though. Must test that it's still working.

There used to be an entry for Country, with a drop down menu. I clicked on it, ready to enter my parents details.

Sadly "New Zealand" was the only item on the menu!

Using DNS4ME.

A little OT, but look up "TV license goons" on YouTube, They basically knock at your door, ask why you don't have a TV License, if you say it's because I don't have a TV (Or don't watch live broadcasts), they will ask to come in to verify that, if you say no they will come back with a search warrant and the police. If you don't have the aerial plugged in, they will plug it in and then get you in trouble

im guesssing that once everyone is signed up they will then get you to enter your tv licence number...if you cant then your account will be blocked
