"HD" is a bit open for interpretation. According to Sky 1280x720 is HD haha.

I think TVNZ's livestreams are the same HD quality at 720p.

I see its exit Latch (and sports) from Duke.  And enter Latch (and sports) to Spark.  NBA and WRC added to Spark.

No more FTA sport - its all going pay.  Imagine MLS, AFL et al (whatever Duke used to show) will migrate to Spark.

dfnt: You need a VPN or similar service running on the chromecast device too

why?

Chrome cast from my understanding uses googles dns hard coded into the device, once pass off is done from phone then the dns will be google which then picks up your in NZ

I hope it's not a exclusive for Samsung TV's for a certain time period and more of a target the largest market decision.. That being said with RWC being late next year it won't do too much damage

You may find this.  Samsung sometimes throws cash/resources at companies to keep things an "exclusive" for a set amount of time.  Companies take this as it can help get their product onto a device that they would not normally have time/resource to invest in.

it will all come down to cost and that will depend on whether Spark wants to make a profit or just attract customers.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

It won't. I think they were referring to Kayo - which I use - and is the best thing since sliced bread. I'm hoping Spark's mobile app is something similar.

Yes I was talking about Kayo, I didn't quote @KrazyKid as I as on my phone and thought my reply would be directly under his. But another person got in so it probably made no sense.

If I cast from my laptop to the shield without the shield being connected to VPN the Kayo stream won't start

So when are they going to stand this up? WRC starts next week, and no announcements yet.

Is Duke in HD?  The quality via Sky always seems quite poor so presume its SD?

Great, I'll have to use the android app as I don't have access to Freeview|HD as I don't have an aerial just a sky dish!  Just means no pausing or anything if the app fails.
