There are all in one USB hub network OTG adapters that also will work rather than putting those 2 things together. Just check its micro USB and not a type C

Can't see it should cause you too many problems.

Things like router resets and password updates etc. Ethernet helps to keep it simple. First incident like that I'll look to see if the chromecast ethernet hack (warning: profanity) works on smartvu. Maybe

Thanks for that. I'll give that a go if needed. I'm thinking of picking one up for myself.

My friend turned out to be a Vodafone broadband customer. I noticed VF have something called Vodafone TV. He was unaware of this box.

There's a geekzone thread not entirely impressed with the voda box UI, I know.. Anyway, it's given him something to think about for the moment. He's been a voda customer for years.
