Has anybody signed up recently and re-confirmed pricing?  I have an annual pass expiring in October so looking at renewing it about then.  Went to check out pricing today and it comes up with a monthly price of $0.99 USD...

I see $0.99 too on the sign up page, I’m not currently an existing subscriber.

rp1790:

I did the online chat on Rugbypass and it would appear they are still negotiating the rights to show the RWC.  Bummer, hope it comes though but it's very late in the day.

It would seem not all SE Asian countries are covered by BEin sport rugby world cup rights, for instance India. So that maybe what they are negotiating on?

I'm seeing 99cents too

Just VPN'd to Singapore on my phone and that's $29.99 monthly and $169.99 PA.  Wonder if the NZ pricing allows you to stream when you DNS4me to Singapore etc?

The 99 cents USD doesn't get you streaming.  It's just their other stuff and is for geo-blocked countries like NZ.  Using a unblocker you get the match streaming at the higher USD prices.

Losing interest in this particular reality, it's all gone too Man in the High Castle for me now. Can anyone recommend a dimension which isn't under threat from a cruel globe-spanning empire

I switched from RugbyPass to ESPN+ about 2 years ago. Has the super rugby, the rugby championship plus loads of other sports. I expect it’ll have the RWC, but I actually haven’t yet checked. All for USD5/month.

NBC Sports Gold is the US broadcaster for the RWC.  They are charging an eye-watering US$199 for their RWC tournament pass.  They make Spark Sport look like a bargain.

Well, that sure is interesting. Not what I expected

I note that they recently standardised their pricing across all regions too.  I signed up from Malaysia, and for a year, it was super cheap. They just emailed me the other day to say that they are cancelling all subs at the next billing cycle.  Then you can re-subscribe again at their full price.  Maybe they were starting to lose too much trying to get their brand out there.

I really just used it for ITM Cup last year initially.  But it was better and faster than TSN for most games, so I carried on using it for Super Rugby and All Blacks.  I think I'll wait to see what happens with RWC rights in both Canada and other parts of Asia.  For the amount I use it, the new pricing is more than I'm willing to pay.

Do ESPN+ have the rights to ITM Cup?

@allstarnz  Isn't the ITM cup now called the MITRE 10 CUP? :)

@Kiwifruta To the best of my knowledge, RugbyPass dosn't have the RWC

No Mitre10, even if they have the rights they are not showing it. They did/are with Super/Championship.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what rates the Sky Go App Streams at? Is it also 1080P 60FPS?
