DamageInc: Off-topic but is Apple TV 4k 2021 worth getting?
If you already have the previous Apple TV 4K, then it may not be worth upgrading. The main upgrade is the new remote, which you can buy for $89, and it works on the previous model.
If you don't have one, or own one of the earlier models, then yes, its worth getting. Depends what you will be using it for.
Apple is giving a free 12 month subscription to Apple TV+ if you buy any new iPhone, iPad or Apple TV 4K. If you are a gamer, you also get a free 3 month subscription to Apple Arcade.
I bought one because I have now gone totally digital for movies. No more expensive discs. And I buy or rent all of my movies from iTunes.

Thanks for the reply.
Main purpose was to use as a Plex client instead of my aging smart tv (Plex app) which is missing some of the more modern features.

My wife got a one year subscription with a new phone.
Watched:
Greyhound - only slightly more interesting than watching a documentary on the Atlantic convoys system during WW2. A great cast that wasn't stretched with too many special effect sequences.
For All Mankind - started well, but they ran out of ideas and they turned it to a politically correct soap opera and I was half expecting to see a gay black astronaut in a wheelchair.
Trying - excellent story-lines and characters that you can believe in.
While I'll miss the subsequent series of Trying, I won't bother to renew.

I use Infuse 7 to stream my movies to. It’s an excellent free app, which plays anything I throw at it. I have upgraded to the Pro version, which is only $16 a year, and offers a few more options. There is an option for a lifetime subscription also. The app can be used as a Plex client, but I find that Infuse is on a par, if not better than Plex.
I’m looking at buying a Synology NAS to stream my movies from. I’m in the process of digitising all of my Blu-ray Discs ATM.

Just be aware that Infuse 7 for macOS only works on Big Sur 11.00 and above.
So with that in mind, my max macOS is 10.15.7 Catalina. However I do have the latest TV 4k 64Gb (2nd gen) and iOS 14 phones and pads. Would I still be able to see my iMac TV Library app where I have stored several movies that I would like to stream through to the lounge TV 4k which everyone seems to be saying is easier with the 'TV Infuse 7 app' than just via TV 4k talking to my iMac.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Can't help you with iMac questions. I only have a Windows 10 PC.
IMO the Apple TV 4K box does a better job than the TV app.

Wrath of Man (rental $7.99) 7/10 Jason Statham in a Guy Richie movie
The plot/s follows H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
Typical brooding Statham movie. Violence a must. But it has the Guy Richie twist touch.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
DamageInc:This is exactly why I bought one when they came out, we got 1 year free Apple TV +

Plex app is 100 times faster and better than our 7YO 4K LG T V
The apple TV does not play in 4K on our TV, out TV cant handle it.
Just finished watching CODA, fantastic movie, while I dont understand sign language you get the gist of a lot of it.

I enjoyed ‘For all Mankind’ and ‘Mythic Quest’. Dickinson has been my favorite so far, but then I read Emily Dickinson’s poetry, so know who she was.

I decided to get a 4-bay NAS, and the first one that I thought of buying was the Synology DS420+. But then, having read some reviews, and finding that most people recommended the Synology DS920+, because of its higher spec and more memory. I decided to go for the DS920+, as it is only $70 more than the DS420+ at PB Tech. I'm hoping for a price drop, but it seems unlikely , unless I wait for the Black Friday sales.

I just stuffed the main Windows PC full of HDDs. Interesting how people do similar things completely differently. All parts of lifes rich tapestry, etc, etc...
