JarrodM:

Can't log in with my sky log in, says invalid credentials. Unsure whether this may be because we moved the sky billing to vodafone recently or if cause it hasn't officially launched yet?

It wont let me login with my sky credentials either and I'm with Sky direct.

What's the point of a streaming service without an on-demand feature for something that occurs mostly in the middle of the night? Interested to hear the justification for not having it. I get some people only want to watch live which is fine, but some of us who work all week and also have sport/family commitments on Saturday mornings choose not to get up at 3am on our Sundays.

Bein and Sky are absolutely pathetic. PLP was not exactly HD quality, but at least they had every game live and on-demand. Sky have multiple channels available, yet my team (Swansea) is not shown until 6pm - third time so far they have been delayed until 5pm/6pm, even though they show repeats of other games much earlier. I'd hoped connect would be similar to PLP - so disappointed. Think I'll be stopping my Sky Bein subscription, waste of $12

So the connect page says that a catch up feature will be added at a future date. See no reason why it can't be added at launch. Not only did we have to wait for the online service, we now have to wait for the catch up feature to be added. Utter shambles.

Although it is annoying that the catch-up is not there, the fact that it will, hopefully, come along is a good thing.

Not really sure why all of this has taken so long, it's not like BeIN are new to this whole thing, they have it up and running in many other countries and I would have thought they would leverage the same platform, technology and development they have already. Unless there is more to it with how involved SKY are? Either in the deal they created, or that SKY are hosting the online services?

That connect site can’t be live, not sure why they have put it up, but the whole thing is a shambles – the SkyTV login feature has disappeared (was not working anyway).  Parts of the FAQ refers to Australia – so they had this prepared months ago, then didn’t win the contract?

I am trying to subscribe but am told my region is different?

If you are outside of Australia you won't be able to subscribe or view content on beIN SPORTS CONNECT. If you are located within Australia and are receiving the message then it will be a result of your IP address being incorrectly registered by your ISP.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Please contact our customer service team at au-customerservice@bein.net to cancel your subscription.”

I'd say they've just used the Australia wording that they already had cause they've had the connect site in Australia for a few years.

Maybe it is a case of they set aside a certain amount of money and resources for it and if those resources were needed elsewhere that got priority as the other areas were more important or more profitable.

I've 'subscribed' to the free trial and Bein 1 is working. Can't really say for the quality and the proxy at work doesn't like streaming at the best of times, but it's there.

Anyone managed to find out about how to login to Connect as a Sky Bein customer?

I’ve sent off a question to Bein, and tried to call Sky, but gave up after waiting on hold for 10 minutes.

Just had a reply from Bein...

Thanks for contacting beIN SPORTS.

We expect beIN SPORTS CONNECT to be launched this month although we cannot confirm an exact date at this stage.

We are working hard to make the service available as soon as possible.

Please stay tuned for future updates regarding release date, features, content and pricing.

Thanks for your patience.

Regards,

Dany

I got this response to a similar question by email.

Thanks for contacting beIN SPORTS.

SKY Basic customers who subscribe to beIN SPORTS will be eligible to access beIN SPORTS CONNECT at a future date at no extra cost using their SKY My Account/SKY GO login details.

beIN SPORTS is working to provide access for SKY beIN SPORTS customers as soon as possible and the FAQ will be updated once a date is confirmed.

Please continue to visit our website and follow us on social media for the latest updates, including pricing and content information.

Should you need further assistance, please let us know.

I presume that although some of us have logged on and had various different levels of success with doing this, they haven't actually officially launched and said it's available. Whether it should be possible to login yet is a different story. When I looked at the FAQ on Friday\Saturday morning they were very different to what they say now, so probably still some work to be done before they announce that it's ready to go.

No, I didn't have to, it asked how I wanted to pay (mastercard, Visa, etc) but then didn't ask for the details, the payment then failed - presumably because there were no details, I went back to site and I had the subscription added.

When I looked over the weekend on the 'live' part of the site, there was a 'Channels' section with BeIN 1 and BeIN2 listed (but not working) and then below 'Events' with 10 Premier League Lion heads, which I guess is for each live game? Earlier today there was only BeIN1 live stream, which appeared to match what was on the schedule.

How did you get it to work, I have tried 5 or 6 times to get it to work?

I really want this service, although fullmatchesandgoals has served me ok so far, maybe I shouldn't bother with it!!
