As with the others, I'll drop it at the end of the season and reconsider at the start of the new one. But I won't pay the $120 price.

I'm not interested in watching on a 'device' and had nothing but trouble with PLP so the simplicity of Sky is appealing. I'm also over acquiring it by other methods, I'm happy to pay $60 a month for all the football.

I'd forgotten just how slow the Sky GUI is though, it takes me ages to do what I want to do because I keep getting ahead of myself !

I'll sign up with BEIN again when the new season starts, but it's nowhere near as good as PLP was. With PLP you could getup any time you like on Sunday morning, select your match and then watch it as if it were live. With Sky you have to remember to record it and many of the games aren't available til later in the day. I'm probably leaving Sky so it will be their online offering.

Not too impressed wit the quality of BEIN's video feeds this season, the resolution is visibly poor when compared with PLP so hopefully that will improve next season.

Online or satellite?

I found the HD feed superb.

I was meaning the BiEN on Sky Sport but the online version is also applicable.

The biggest disappointment for me was not the EPL (and picture quality was good) but the fact the second channel was only SD.  Not sure I will get again if they don't make that HD.

For less than $12 per month, I'll consider keeping the Sky BeIN channel through the off-season.  If they repeat significant matches from the previous season, it might give me the opportunity to watch the NLD all over again.... :-)

I got rid of the online version a couple of months ago, the lack of on-demand was a total killer for me. PLP allowed me to watch a match on Sunday morning over breakfast. I rarely ever watch live due to work and can download a game from Matchhighlight.com for free.

I paid for PLP, and would happily pay for this if they gave me the same levels of service.

I ditched Sky a couple of years ago and will never sign up for their eco-system / PVR again.

How is everybody watching the FA Cup Final this year? Are there high-quality streaming alternatives to ordering Sky Sports and putting up with there smudgy SD feeds again?

Oh?  I thought ESPN and ESPN were in HD.  The Superbowl was in HD so I'm expecting the same again.  And as much as I hate Chelsea....  its gotta be Anyone But Arsenal.

Ah, good news! But you need to work on re-energizing that healthy hatred for Chelsea by the sound of things..

Bein was probably good if you supported one of the “big” teams, but otherwise hit and miss.  A number of times they would not show the Swans game until 6pm on a Sunday.  They even showed repeats of games before showing the one I wanted.  This weekend is typical, Chelsea live on Bein1, Arsenal and Liverpool on the 2 pop-ups, then they show Arsenal again on Bein1 at 6am – bloody record it from the live feed if you want to watch it!!!

PLP quality started off poor, but I found it very good most of the time and excellent last season.  I miss being able to watch the game “I” want to watch, when I want to watch it.

I’ll be stopping Bein, but will get it in August – maybe by next April, they’ll have that promised on-demand ready

PLP was great for those of us that support the smaller teams, haven't even bothered with BeIN offering as it sounds so bad for me. I ended using Vader Streams on Kodi. All games are on-demand and live in 720p (on demand is in the beta stage but has worked fine for the past 4 or so months I've been using it.)

You'll all be delighted to learn the BeIN think their product is so wonderful they've upped the prices by 35% to $16.10. At least I assume it's BeIN, and not SKY who originally said they aren't making a cent on it in terms of what it costs them.

I like the SKY product of BeIN although can;t believe at least 2 of their channels are still broadcast in SD, but the online offering is a disgrace.

Didn't get a letter. I would think that if the price is increased then Sky should give us ESPN. Getting fed up of paying all these different companies for football that has been so fragmented from the point of view of broadcasting. I keep within the law but get penalised for doing so!

It only going to get worse.  Eventually you will be paying the likes of Google Amazon etc for each individual game.

So got an email from Bein Sports confirming they are adding a on demand/catch up service this week. Also confirmed that we will finally also be getting all premier league games live. So infuriating its taken this long. I was going to sign up for some other service but will stick with them. Will be so good watching La Liga, premier league etc on demand next season. Still no announcement on their social media sites.
