So got an email from Bein Sports confirming they are adding a on demand/catch up service this week. Also confirmed that we will finally also be getting all premier league games live. So infuriating its taken this long. I was going to sign up for some other service but will stick with them. Will be so good watching La Liga, premier league etc on demand next season. Still no announcement on their social media sites.

Is this an online offering like PLP over the internet as well as satellite? Or is it only over satellite?

Sorry, have been out of touch for a while so not sure where they ended up with their online offering.

Its in regards to the online service called connect. It was rubbish as there was no on demand/ catch up to ensure we could watch matches when we wanted after they have been played. Service was 2 months late too. Now they are finally adding the above features to online streaming service connect this week. It's good for people who don't want sky just want the football. Hopefully it means Sky lose a few more people as I hate sky like many people.

Do you really think what might replace SKY is going to be any better? Or for that matter cheaper?

Are you looking forward to pay per view for games with the big teams games being more and if it is a derby even more?

No one knows for sure if it's going to be better. Sky have to change their business model otherwise more people will leave. Times have changed but sky are still stuck in 90"s. For people who just want the football, bein sports connect is perfect.

Yes of course they need to change. but as been said elsewhere they are hooked into current model until 2019 because of obligations to how to broadcast. How they go after that will make or break them.

I guess the other question is how many people in NZ are one sport only fans where subscribing to 2 or 3 providers means costs are not that much cheaper?

But as I said before the world will be moving to a pay per view model and in your case being a United fan you may well be paying more and more as they can charge more and more

My worry and it concerns a lot of sports and especially football is that the rights are going to be fragmented which in the case of an English football team supporter is that you may end up having to sign up to 3 different services to get to see all your teams' games.

I think that eventually you will pay the same but get less content and may even have to pay a 'live' premium.

BS You are not prepared to pay what it costs. Half the population use Sky. Best to stick to added value comment than bias

Thats correct. There is too much anti Sky here and not enough knowledge. Would you pay Sky $26 for monthly movies, or NF $15 for monthly movies, or pay PPV at $8 a movie??

Anyone know what the deal is with the "xtra" channel? Is it part of the package.

I see events listed in it, but it's on the TV guide

I am trying to series link the Premier League review show on Sky, also the Premier League Preview show but there doesn't seem to be options for this only option to series link the live games?

It might be that BEin / sky have not setup a CRID to allow series linking... I found that sometimes so programs don't have it.

It will pop up on the app and website when the games are on, then will disappear after the game has finished
