Used the download option on my smartphone today and watched The Mandalorian - might have to watch again on the big screen to get all the picture - it's a gorgeous production.

It looks really nice on a Huawei P30 Pro OLED screen.

Seemed like a missed opportunity not to not have launched Hulu in NZ this week as well. I would have subbed to both.

Paul1977:

Sure, but I guess I just assumed Disney owned more than this.

They certainly do own way more than the titles they've released on this platform, but I imagine that's deliberate; this seems to be more aimed as family-friendly service - and that wholesome image is key part of the Disney branding. I imagine their more 'adult-suitiable' content will be managed differently and on a separate service.

As others have mentioned, they have a controlling interest in Hulu, so that could well be a better source (once/if it reaches our shores) of this wider content; they also own 20th Century Fox, which would have a huge range of content - but clearly it's only going to be material like The Simpsons that makes it onto Disney +; I can't imagine them ever adding JoJo Rabbit!

This site gives a good idea of what Disney owns/controls - https://www.titlemax.com/discovery-center/money-finance/companies-disney-owns-worldwide/

And there's a diagram showing the extent of their empire - https://storage.googleapis.com/titlemax-media/1c8ace8f-every-company-disney-owns-13_pageversion-lg.jpg

Hi,

Can anyone with a Fire stick 4k confirm the Disney App. is working?

I bought the fire stick new yesterday and have had zero success. Called Amazon support just now and after 30mins of trying different things and not getting any where they said that the 4k stick isn't supported. Very bizarre...

Thanks!

What's the problem? You can't install the app, can't login through the app, or can't play content through the app?

Had to app2fire the Disney App from my Android phone as it wasn't available via search. It installed but would go blank when run and then return to the home screen. Can't get to the sign in screen at all.

Nvidia Shield: Anyone else having issues over the last 24hrs??

Aprox 24hrs ago Disney+ app switched to slow mode, sometimes taking 10mins just to load the main screen. Prior to this everything was humming along nicely. There have been no app or system updates that could possibly interfering or any system wide changes. The other odd thing is the Google Playstore is also slow to load & update apps. Could be pure coincidence but seems odd that both issues occurred at a similar time. I've cleared app cache/storage, uninstalled/re-installed and....nothing. Web browser/ipad app all work just fine.

  1. Someone with a Nvidia Shield please confirm Disney+ is working fine.
  2. Someone with a android device please confirm Disney+ is working fine(my phone + tablet are incompatible with the app so I can't check).

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Nvidia Shield here, has been working fine. I've watched two episodes of 'The Mandalorian' without issue - 4K TV.

The kids have also watched a few things and no complaints from them either.

NM. After 2 resets...issue remains so I will seek advice in the appropriate forum.

I'm quite enjoying some of the Nat Geo content I think a lot of people are ignoring. Certainly a couple of hidden gems their for sure.

I thought they would have had more Nat geo content tbh. I was looking forward to a lot of the series that are currently on sky being there. Deadliest catch etc ...gold and opal mining series...etc
