robbon44: I thought they would have had more Nat geo content tbh. I was looking forward to a lot of the series that are currently on sky being there. Deadliest catch etc ...gold and opal mining series...etc

A rights issue with Sky in this part of the world maybe?

Deadliest catch is discovery channel isn’t it? Unsure about the others

OK this is a strange question but has anybody noticed Disney+ somehow turning motion smoothing ON on their TV? On my Samsung the "motion plus" setting has somehow come on from off to auto twice since I started Disney+ and watching the Mandalorian I noticed it looked quite off. This morning watching E3 and although I am sure it was off yesterday it was back on to "auto" somehow when I began watching the episode. I know it sounds really paranoid and weird and I've checked nobody else in the house has been messing with the TV settings...

(I'm not TOTALLY crazy as other people have commented about similiar issues... https://www.reddit.com/r/DisneyPlus/comments/dverqe/soap_opera_effect/ )

Mandalorian episode 3, wow. Its great. However the service still struggles whenever theres a new episode tho. Had it buffer and lag during the episode multiple times.

Been a absolute disaster trying to watch revenge of the Sith tonight had the ps4 app crash twice had the movie stop playing completely twice. Stopped and started throughout. All up about half a dozen crashes.kinda makes me want to go back to plex It's pretty clear they underestimated the server backbone theyd need to support the service. I know it's still early days and hopefully they will fix it but it runs the experience for sure.

A very good point well made ! Seem to remember in the past that discovery did a deal with Netflix but don’t know.. for some reason I thought Disney or Nat geo we’re involved. I thought incorrectly !

One thing I have noticed using the native app on Sony Bravia is that selecting re-start option on movies breaks the app and I can’t even resume or play another title. I have to exit the app leave it for a while and try again.

A few bugs should be expected but I do miss a continue watching option...

I'm trying it on a Web Browser at the moment, in Chrome it skips a lot of frames or seems to pause for a moment and do a sudden catch up

Edge (non chrome ver) seems to play it flawlessly

pulsta: Hi,

Can anyone with a Fire stick 4k confirm the Disney App. is working?

I bought the fire stick new yesterday and have had zero success. Called Amazon support just now and after 30mins of trying different things and not getting any where they said that the 4k stick isn't supported. Very bizarre...

Thanks!

Update: had to revert my router back to Google DNS from my pihole DNS and the Disney+ app can now be searched for and installed. Changed DNS back to pihole DNS and all is well!

Perfect streaming experience with ZERO lag

Are all the Star Wars on there?

All but 'VIII The Last Jedi' - It says "Coming Soon to Disney+. Due to existing agreements this title will be available on April 27, 2020."

A Stuff article about Sky dropping Disney and Disney Junior channels, stated this

The service offers more than 7500 episodes of television and 500 films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and National Geographic, and includes all the Star Wars films apart from The Last Jedi, which will be available from Boxing Day.

This is was 3 days ago, so hopefully correct

In the US, Disney+ won't carry current seasons of Disney Channel / Disney Junior shows to avoid cannibalising those channels, which are still profitable for the company there.

I wonder what closing those channels in Australia / New Zealand means for that same content on Disney+ here. Will it get added immediately since there's no other place to view it in this region? Will we still need to wait? Will be interesting to see.

Yes, have seen that article but it doesn't answer the question in my post.

Descendants 3 is on the NZ Disney, it only came out in the last couple of months. So a good sign.

I’m wondering what the delay is from movie theatre to the service, I.e Rise of SkyWalker.

Yes that is a good sign. One of my boys' favourite Disney Channel shows (and I must admit, mine too) is Big City Greens. Disney+ NZ has some shorts but not the actual show, whereas Disney+ in the US does have it. Hoping it gets added.
