ok, thanks. I got confused from their purchase email which said $99.99 per year (plus taxes, where applicable). But the email doesn't refer to GST anywhere.

To my surprise 8 of the Fox X-Men films are coming to Disney plus on December 20th in Australia. I hope we get them too. https://www.finder.com.au/x-men-movies-release-disney-plus-december

Its basically all of them except Deadpool 1 and 2 and Logan which are all r-rated which I expect will go to Hulu. As a way to get X-Men fans to sub to Hulu.

Do they have a policy not to host any r-rated content on Disney then?

Has anyone got a definitive answer on device limits?

So far I have found information that says;

A 4 device limit for concurrent streams,

A 7 device limit for downloads,

A 10 device total limit, and

Unlimited number of total devices registered (for streaming).

Obviously the last two are in conflict but I can’t find anything on the Disney+ website to clarify. I’m also unsure if each Chromecast becomes a new device or if the ‘device’ you are using to control chromecast is what counts.

With multiple family members, each having multiple devices, plus the TVs, AppleTVs, Chromecasts, etc, it would be easy to blast through a limit without even trying too hard.

Have any of you had the app glitch where it will start playing in a different language or with audio captions?

I get the same thing. I'm also getting trash downscaling even on fibre when watching mandalorian, Disney need to get this sorted.

Have watched four episodes of The Mandalorian and had no glitches so far (2018 LG 4K TV - Spark fibre). Sometimes the Disney+ WebOS app hangs when starting up, but backing out and re-selecting it fixes that.

Would be great if Disney could see their way clear to adding the streaming options they have in the US to our market in the future (ie Hulu, etc).

I took the highly unusual step of reading through the subscriber agreement during the sign-up process. Device limit for downloads is 10 - section 4(d). As you note, 4 concurrent streams - 4(c). No mention of limits or how many devices you can connect to an account so yeah, unlimited. Where did you get the number 7 from?

I don't believe a Chromecast would be a 'device' in terms of a Disney+ registered item as you can't actually install the app on it. This did lead me to go and look in my account to see how many devices, and what, devices I have registered. It appears Disney aren't making this info available.

Disney is cutting dropping out between Midnight and 12.30am.

One night right at 12.00am got the blue spinning circle, Apple TV. Shut applic down restarted, and instead of resuming it started from beginning.

Last night 12.27am running on LG TV, went to black screen with message like “There is no internet connection, your program will resume when internet connection restored”

Was about to hop off my chair, and it started playing where it left off, so under a 5 second drop out, which means I didn’t lose internet connection at modem level as would’ve taken more then 5 seconds to reconnect.

I’m on 2degrees fibre, but haven’t noticed it do it on other applics so not sure if Disney thing or 2degrees thing.

edit: only thing in fritz logs for today, was service provider successfully transmitted settings....

That was 12.10am so looks like it’s Disney.

How is bandwidth usage for people? My Mum signed up and has blown 60gig her max allowance as she has no other option atm. Web says 2.2g per hour so I make that say 20-25 hours. She says no way its about 5 movies total. She is in her 70s. I'm trying to get her village to go with fibre but things move slow with a body corp.

Experience to date using both the ATV and the Samsung/Tizen app has been very positive. Smooth, consistent and good quality. No issues with either service or apps.
