LGSAM:
Any Disney plus users using DNS4ME ? I have been using Getflix but get constant buffering using their DNS . I am using Sony Android TV
I've used both. DNS4ME performed much better for Disney+ for me.
Handle9:It seems Getflix is ignoring the setting for viewing from your own country and the buffering is terrible if viewing HDR , their response was to not use their DNS when viewing Disney , not ideal .

I'm not in NZ (or the US) so am using it for viewing a US account.

I had been trying to watch Mandalorian and having constant buffering issues... several different times of day and differing devices, I have no issues with Lightbox, Netflix or Youtube.
I was curious to see if DNS might affect the CDN that gets picked, I changed my Routers DNS to 1.1.1.1 and I haven't had a single glitch since. Previously I was using Orcons automatically issued address.

Succumbed for the school holidays and signed up for the service yesterday; things play fine on our mobile devices, but we're getting terrible buffering (if it plays at all) on our TVs. This is either with the built-in app on an LG TV or via either of the Amazon Fire TVs.
Wondering if it was anything to do with those devices being wired vs using wifi I switched an Amazon Fire TV to wireless and, while it's slightly better (in that programmes seem to always start at least), the buffering is still bad enough to make it not viable to use.
Searching the thread I found this:

I'm using Getflix, so I assume this is where the problem lies.
Have any other Getflix users (eg @LGSAM) found a solution, other than not using their DNS for Disney? We have their DNS at the router level; I can't see any feasible way of changing that solely for this one SVOD. Are there any Getflix settings that affect Disney's performance?
I wonder if this is yet another example of Getflix not giving a flying fudge about it's old 'lifetime subscribers', and so can't be arsed fixing this problem.
Given there's a decent amount of content there to keep the family entertained over the holidays (we're thinking of a Simspsonsathon from the very beginning with my eldest kid) it would be good to get it working properly!
jonathan18:I spent way too much time with Getflix so called support , in the end they told me to use my providers DNS when using Disney as there was nothing they could do . I must have tried every configuration Getflix has and it made no difference . I dont think they care .

I contacted Getflix yesterday and got a relatively quick response. They suggested trying the Aus DNS servers, and I can report I now have Disney+ working ok on the TV and Amazon Fire TVs, and none of the other VOD services we use appear to have broken. At this point it’s looking pretty good.
Now if only they’d provide decent sound via either the LG app or Amazon Fire TV: I’d give up HDR any day for full 5.1 or better...
jonathan18:Hi , what servers have you selected ? I tried the Aus servers and it stuffed my Aus ch7 and 9 .

Using the two Aus ones as per their website; I don't watch any Aus TV so no issues for me. But, yeah, clearly this isn't a solution for everyone and Getflix should sort it out properly.
jonathan18:It does not sound promising , when I replied back to them after changing to the Aus servers saying it had affected my Aus channels they said there was nothing more they could do for me .

clinty: The X-Men movies up to Days of Future past have just shown up on Disney+ :D
Clint
Yep watched days of future past last night. Probably the last good X-Men movie. Too bad Logan wont be on there cause its r-rated. Also anyone see that new Disney+ original movie Togo starring Willem Dafoe yet?
