steve2222: And if you are with Telecom for broadband, the data usage for TiVo/Quickflix is not metered.

Don't count on it..

Anyone from TiVo / Quickflix tell how how we access Quickflix via TiVo?? Is it going to be like Caspa and just input a PIN when you make a purchase??
I assume closer to the time TiVo will tell use how to setup a TiVo based Quickflix account to get the 2 months free trial..

Old3eyes

Without going into the details, "All of the above"

When it goes live, the respective websites will have all of the info and functionality needed set you up.
Just for obvious reasons, as the service isn't live yet, those parts of the website aren't either.

Am I right with my interpretation regarding remaining Caspa wallet funds, these will be transferred to Quickflix?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

It's in the first post...

The CASPA On-Demand service will be coming to an end on December 4, 2013 to make way for Quickflix. If you have a CASPA Wallet, from December 9, you'll need to close it and choose what you'd like to do with any remaining cash balance in your account.

You'll be able to transfer your cash balance to use on a new or existing Quickflix account to continue enjoying movies on your TiVo. If you transfer your cash balance, you'll also receive a credit for a new release movie from Quickflix!

Pay Per Play credit will expire 2 months after it has been credited into your account. Please note that the free Pay Per Play credit is non-redeemable for cash, and no cash refund, or credits will be awarded for expired credit and cancellation of Quickflix account. Offer period is December 9, 2013 to June 9, 2014.

Alternatively, you'll be able to donate the cash balance of your CASPA Wallet to Make-A-Wish® New Zealand (tax receipts available for donations over $5) or request a refund of your cash balance back to your original credit card.

Thanks DanHybrid.

Are you in a position to tell us yet whether there have been performance improvements?  That is, when using CASPA, it was very laggy with navigation actions which made it less desirable to use.

That would probably be hardware and processor related inside the tivo, as well as downloading images on demand. I would think quickflix would be the same if built on the same system, but they maybe using a totally different system.

I'm really looking forward to checking it out.  Especially looking forward to see how well it runs on TiVo!
