Also in case anyone is interested I used an Air NZ One Smart card to set up the Netflix account without any problems.  Whole thing took me 10min.

I gave NetFlix my standard BNZ Visa, and it happily accepted that for payment. Although the OneSmart card is handy for purchasing US iTunes store content.

I'm thinking I might move to a vpn based solution as I want the best cache that I can get.

Is this for Netflix, if so, my understanding is, You can't Cache Netflix traffic, also VPN takes longer then say a DNS change provider to establish connection.

I was meaning for traffic other than netflix such as local content and youtube etc. And now I get better speeds to LA with a vpn on.
