well we just watched the AB vs samoa match and i spent 10 mins trying to get Sky up and running over skygo. Managed to get it running only to have it drop out, stop, screen go blank, error so we opened a new browser page and watched it streamed over VIP league and whilst it was a bit grainy it was uninterrupted..

Hmm, too late now but I guess I was doing it wrong, a search in Meerkat asked me for users to follow :-(

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I think I can safely say nobody is offering a premium product like the All Blacks that's free, legit, and in HD. You might manage two of those three criteria. I'm going to try ITV with UnoTelly for my first option, and watching it at my parents' house as a second. Still waiting on Sky to elaborate on that sport streaming service that was hinted at a while back, though not holding out much hope that it will work well, given the issues they've had with SkyGo.

I had a look at this last night and Periscope is only available for iOS and Android.  Are you running some sort of emulator on Windows Nathan?  If so, which one?

Or have you covertly defected to the dark side and running one of those other platforms for your viewing? wink

I've had Android and iOS devices for years and years :)

I think they might be viewable from the web too, I think just on Meerkat

Android emulators for Windows include BlueStacks and AMIDuOS

Tabuti: I recently figured out how to get a pretty good stream for cheap.  Not as good as sky go but 10 times better than those free ones.  Can't guarantee how it will be for you but I'm more than happy with it.  I'm on ADSL & havn't had issues with it.  Will be getting Fibre soon which may even make it better!

Step 1 - Either get Unotelly or even easier Hola Unblocker (this can be turned on/off I turn it off when not using it for Rugby....) I use both as sometimes unotelly don't work.. Hola is free vs Uno costing money

Step 2 head to www.rugby.livesport.tv

Step 3 Select Switzerland in Hola Unblocker (or if using Unotelly you will need to set your Dynamo settings for Channel Option 4 to Switzerland)

Step 4 Sign up to a months subscription

Step 5 Watch the games.

This has worked for me and the Super 15.  It tells me they will have the internationals & hopefully the World Cup. www.rugby.livesport.tv/promo/rugbygeo is a list of what they will be streaming

What I then do is mirror my pc to my Fire TV via AirPinPcSender & vola rugby on the telly :)

Costs about $10 per month for the live sport sub & Unotelly is even cheaper.  There is nothing you can do to test if it will work for you until you take the plunge and pay for a subscription but it worked for me & now I don't have to pay for Sky :)  I can also use it at friends places after downloading Hola..

The livesport site looks like it hasn't been updated for years but the games still play!!!

Enjoy!!!!!

I tried this out last night for the ABs match through my htpc. We already have unotelly.

You can pay by credit card or PayPal, the US $6.99 sub renews unless you stop it. They have all the upcoming Rugby Championship games listed.

The stream came from the Aussie Fox Sport network, with kiwi commentary. I was worried I'd be watching it in Spanish!

It did freeze a couple of times for a 2-3 seconds but I'll put that down to our useless <6mbs ADSL. On the LOW setting the quality was not quite as good as Prime. I couldn't try the other settings as it froze straightaway.

Still, they were stringing UFB along the power poles in my street yesterday so looking forward to seeing what the high quality is like.

On the basis of what I saw last night, I'll keep my subscription going during the season.

For the RWC I'm expecting ITV's official stream via unotelly will be the best bet.

Interests: HTPC, Web App authoring.

Awesome! glad it worked for you, I had the little 2-3 sec freezing also from time to time but no issues.  You will get the aussie commentators for any game involving Aus teams (a shame)

Also since you have UnoTelly in the Dynamo settings look for the NRL Grand Final option & set the to Germany - This will let you watch the NRL for free on Livestream.. :) even better stream than the Rugby one & also gives you the ability to watch replays
